Cool Blues & Whites + The Wild Atlantic Way

Cool Blues and Whites for Spring
It has been a long wet winter but the extra hour of daylight is prepping us for a bountiful Spring with bright blue skies and floating clouds. This season we are looking at the west coast of Ireland for inspiration on color, style and beauty. From the Galway Bay to the stone mountains of the Burren in Co. Clare, the Wild Atlantic Way has captured our imagination and is a destination to inspire any painter, photographer, musician or writer.
This set is crisp, light and airy with a rustic modern open bookcase, white tweed ottoman, knotted rug and bright blue convertible sofa render a feel of a now modern West of Ireland and the mystical Wild Atlantic Way. We have also incorporated a unique live edge table from our pop up vendor Gingko Furniture and candles, amethyst book ends and coral from our neighbor and friends @ Often Wander.
Sea to Sky
The Wild Atlantic Way

I have not painted in over 20 years and this sea to sky image of Lough Corrib in Co. Galway became my Spring palette inspiration and study in encaustic wax as an artistic medium. The inspired image was taken from the top of one of Ireland’s oldest Martello towers . These ancient Martello towers are scattered across the country and served as look out point for domestic invaders and famously described by James Joyce. Lough Corrib is the largest inlaid lake in Ireland which is usually only seen from the famous Ashford Castle. Locally known as The Twelve Bens, the Connemara mountain range is in the distance and the sky is reflected on this crystal clear lake.
